CADDIES Some of the best artisan tea caddies made of washi-tin, cherry wood & blue-on-white porcelain
Japanese tea caddies are collected for their elegance and style by tea enthusiasts everywhere. They are sought after not only for their great aesthetic appeal, but also because they make the best practical storage containers for the most sensitive teas. The modern Japanese tea caddy is made of tinplate on which various decorative materials are added. Typically printed materials are used. There are also hand-made designs in natural materials and decorative papers or washi. Washi are used for very many tea caddies; they offer a strong and durable cover and are beautifully textured. We have searched for some of the best tea containers for premium tea. Our current selections include many popular washi tea caddies with various combinations of colour and feel. Unless stated all caddies listed have an internal dust cap, and measure 74mm in diameter and 155mm in length. The approximate tea-leaf capacity for this range of caddies is 200g.
